I grew up in Woodstock, Illinois, started riding as early as five and rode competitively in the Northern Illinois Hunter Jumper Association. I brought my equine interests to the University of Illinois, where I completed my undergraduate and veterinary degrees.

I have practiced for ten years in a variety of settings, ranging from racehorses, backyard pleasure horses, and the horses used by the United States Park Police.

I continued my education in reproductive medicine, completed my residency and became board-certified in reproductive medicine (theriogenology) in 2003. Since that time, I have conducted research, presented such at international meetings and worked in industry.

I recently relocated to Illinois with my wife, Holly, and our two boys, Connor and Luke, where we hope to both practice and bring our careers back to our family and friends.
